Johnny Duda, Ed.D.

Founder & CEO

Johnny graduated from Harvard University in 1999, and received his doctorate in Education from UCLA in 2011. Prior to starting Vault Prep in 2011, he was Executive Director of the non-profit Student Voice Project – a non-profit in inner-city LA focused on providing 21st Century critical literacy support to students and teachers in LA’s most impacted and under-funded schools.  Prior to that, Dr. Duda worked for many years in the classroom, teaching everything from special needs math in middle school to AP Physics, World History, and Ethics at the high school level.

In addition to developing original programs for Vault Prep, Johnny works with a select group of students each year around test prep.  Students who work with Johnny commonly improve 6-8 points on the ACT in just 8-10 lessons, while average improvement across all of his students over the past several years tops 10 points. Proceeds from Johnny’s work with full-paying clients helps fund pro bono tutoring and test prep support to over 500 scholarship students each year.
