Megan Jensen MA

Tutor

Megan Jensen is a former reading specialist who has taught students across grades K-12. She
now leads the development of curricula and implementation models for high-quality reading and
English Language Arts curricula across the United States. She previously directed a federal
Investing in Innovation grant at the Literacy Design Collaborative, leading a $13M professional
development initiative across 100 schools in Los Angeles and New York City that produced
statistically significant gains in students' reading and writing outcomes.

Her work spans from classroom instruction to systems-level change, driven by her belief that
every student can learn, and that there is transformative power in supporting students in reading
and writing about their worlds. This is what drew her to Vault Prep's mission: helping students
build the skills to become their own lifelong teachers, capable of thinking critically about their
worlds long after they leave the classroom.

Megans holds a B.A. in English from UCLA and an M.A. in International and Comparative
Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. She is based in Santa Monica, CA.
